~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Vikings brought insult to injury when then beat the Packers at Limbaugh Field in Green Bay, WI. It's Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 2:30pm CDT Link to Minneapolis, MN Radar at the NWS ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ WE ARE GETTING THE CAR Just a quick note to let all my friends who have been trying to help me get a car to replace the one that broke, I got the letter from Free Charity Car (aka: 1-800-Charity Car, Charity Car, Inc.) that we are getting a 2000 Chevy Malibu 4 door, blue. All I have to do is to complete the registration and provide proof of insurance coverage on it and I can go pick it up. I want to extend a thank you to all who participated in the voting and or helped out in other ways. It's been a long 3-1/2 months trying to get by with out a car, but we made it. Once again, thank you all for helping out. Don MNTornado Just learned yesterday that it's going to cost me $76 (that includes $10 in sales tax) in taxes and license fees (just another tax really) to register the new car that has 140,000 miles on it and is not costing me a cent (except for the Minnesota taxes). I guess that Minnesota in all it's wisdom has to get it's 50 dollars worth or else the government will collapse (makes me wonder if they believe in gifts to help the needy). The most confusing part is that the Minnesota law was apparently written to charge a sales tax even though no money is changing hands. I guess that it won't be long before Minnesota begins to tax our water and bathroom activities. And this from a Republican Government that has been saying no more taxes. YA SURE, YA BETCHA, DON'T YA KNOW!!! PS: let me know if you would like to know more of this charity for yourself or someone else you know who could use some help. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ THIS IS STRANGER THAN THE TWILIGHT ZONE Story on KSTP-5 tonight on the news. A man broke into a office flashing a gun. The lone women in the office began to cry. The would be robber feeling sorry for her, got down on his knees and prayed with her. He then took the bullets out of his gun and help escort her into the bathroom where he locked her in. He then took money from her purse and left.
